The residents of St. Louis can expect a variable week ahead, with weather conditions shifting from flurries and sprinkles to clear sunny skies, the National Weather Service reported. The early morning started with temperatures at a chilly 29°F and a forecast that included a chance of sprinkles and flurries before 8am. However, the cloud cover was expected to give way as the day progressed, leading to a high near 40°F with a gentle north wind.
As the night sets in, those looking upward will be greeted by mostly clear skies, with lows hovering around 25°F. While the north wind persists around 6 mph, it's anticipated to become calm come evening. Heading into tomorrow, the weather narrative changes slightly; the skies will present as partly sunny with a high flirting at about 41°F and a calming breeze eventually drawing from the southeast.
The NWS, based in St. Louis, shared a detailed forecast for the coming days, pointing to a sunny Monday with an appreciable high near 57°F. The southerly wind should remain consistent at about 6 mph, maintaining a degree of warmth not seen earlier in the week. This trend appears poised to continue, with Tuesday's temperature expected to peak even higher, around 63°F under mostly sunny skies.
However, the semblance of an early spring will be tempered come midweek. By Wednesday night, there's a 40 percent chance of rain, with temperatures staying mild at a low around 49°F. Rain becomes more likely by Thursday, exposing the region to a 60 percent chance of precipitation as temperatures push to near 65°F. Though a slight dip, Friday will remain partly sunny with a high of about 59°F and a reduced 20 percent chance for rain, offering some respite from the week's earlier wetness.
