
Local Victorville resident Carlos Rubio, 19, was arrested last Friday for the illegal sale and transportation of marijuana. According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department, Rubio's apprehension unfolded without incident following a traffic stop carried out by deputies from the Adelanto MET detail, alongside investigators from Victor Valley Transit.
Their investigation, which homed in on suspected mobile sales of THC products, eventually led them to the 13000 block of Winewood Street, where the suspect was identified and detained. In a residence connected with Rubio, authorities discovered an alleged trove of high-grade marijuana, related THC products, and roughly $18,000 in cash — proceeds suspected to have come from unlawful narcotic activities.
After a search warrant was executed at the suspect’s home, items indicative of a narcotics trade were found scattered throughout. "Investigators recovered a substantial quantity of high-grade marijuana and THC products, as well as approximately $18,000 in U.S. currency," detailed the released statement. Investigators also identified numerous items throughout the dwelling that aligned with drug distribution culture.
The authorities have invited anyone with knowledge about the operation to come forward and provide information. They encouraged those with such information to either contact the Victor Valley station directly or to utilize the confidential We-Tip Hotline. Although the arrest of Carlos Rubio is a resolution of sorts, the search for further intelligence on the case presses on, with officials earnestly seeking aid from the community to dismantle any remaining threads of this illicit enterprise.
