Early yesterday morning, a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 North in Attleboro resulted in three individuals being hospitalized. The Attleboro Fire Department crews were called to the scene near mile marker 4 at approximately 5:30 a.m. following reports of a motor vehicle collision with entrapment, Fall River Reporter reported.

Upon arrival, firefighters discovered one vehicle in the median and two on the shoulder. They employed hydraulic tools to free a woman in her 30s from her vehicle; she was subsequently taken to Rhode Island Hospital. Another driver, a man in his 20s, required extrication after his vehicle ended up in a snowbank off the roadside. He too was transported to Rhode Island Hospital, according to Boston 25 News.

The third individual, a woman in her 50s, was able to exit her vehicle without assistance and was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital. "We were receiving multiple calls reporting this crash at different locations along the highway," District Chief Michael Maitland was quoted by Boston 25 News. Emergency personnel temporarily closed the breakdown lane and two travel lanes to secure a safe working environment as they tended to the crash.

All injuries were reported as non-life-threatening. The involvement of the Massachusetts State Police marked the beginning of an investigation into the cause of the accident. The North Attleborough Fire Department was also on hand to offer mutual aid assistance. As firefighters and police worked amid challenging conditions, no other crashes were found in the subsequent search of the area, Fall River Reporter conveyed.
