
A busy Friday afternoon at Historic Market Square took a frightening turn when a 41-year-old woman was allegedly hit in the head with a brick along the 500 block of West Commerce Street, according to police. Officers arrived just after 2 p.m., and with the help of witness descriptions, quickly located and detained a man nearby. Emergency medical personnel treated the woman at the scene and cleared her, according to News 4 San Antonio.
San Antonio police later arrested a 53-year-old man and charged him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, as reported by News 4 San Antonio. The station reports that officers were called to the 500 block of West Commerce at about 2:04 p.m. after witnesses reported the attack.
