Central Ohio Crime Stoppers has issued a public plea backed by a cash incentive, aiming to capture the individual behind the wheel in a fatal hit-and-run accident that has left the Clinton Township community shaken. The tragic event unfolded in the early hours of October 19, 2025, etching a permanent scar on Westerville Road, south of Innis Road.
According to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office social media post, at 4:58 a.m., a woman's life was abruptly cut short, and another suffered severe injuries, instigated by a driver in a dark-colored Toyota Camry who has since absconded from justice. The second victim's struggle extends beyond the immediate harm, resulting in a prolonged hospital residence that spans several months.
In relentless pursuit of closure and justice, investigators from the Franklin County Sheriff's Office have disseminated a detailed description of the fugitive vehicle, believed to be a 2021-2024 Toyota Camry, now marred with distinct damage on its front-passenger side, hood, and windshield. This information is a clarion call to anyone who may hold the crucial piece of evidence that could end this disconcerting mystery.
Officials are soliciting tips and have aligned with Crime Stoppers, promising anonymity alongside financial reward, in hopes that this incentive will draw forth witnesses or confidants of the truth. "Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (614) 461-TIPS (8477) or contact the FCSO Crash Investigation Unit at (614) 525-6113," narrative, the sheriff's office insists on engaging the public's aid in bringing the accountable party to the scales of justice.
