Fayetteville Launches GoVille! App to Boost Civic Engagement and Streamline Issue Reporting

Residents of Fayetteville have a new digital tool at their disposal – the GoVille! mobile app. Launched by the city to foster a stronger connection between citizens and their government, this free app is available for download on both Google Play and Apple's App Store. GoVille! serves as a hub for local happenings, significant meetings, and updates on citywide projects, all accessible from the convenience of a smartphone, as per the city's announcement.

The app also allows users to swiftly sign up for notifications and stay informed about what's going on in the city. One of the standout features is its integration with SeeClickFix, a reporting system that enables residents to easily report civic issues, such as potholes or damaged street signs. Leveraging GIS mapping, the app also allows residents to provide visual evidence to better equip the city to handle these concerns promptly.

"We have wanted a City app like this for a while, and so it is a pleasure to officially launch GoVille! into the community," Fayetteville City Manager Ray Gibson commented in a city's recent announcement. He expressed his excitement, “I am especially excited about the issues reporting functionality, which I believe will expedite solutions to issues our residents, businesses, and guests see and experience in the community."

Gibson underscored the collaborative nature of city maintenance, saying, "Looking after our City is a partnership, and we count on the public to help us know what they see."
