Detroit police hit three homes on the city’s east side on Wednesday and walked out with a haul that would make a cartel flinch: roughly 2.5 pounds of cocaine, about 1.5 pounds of fentanyl, three guns, and more than $11,000 in cash. One person was arrested in the operation, which played out just inside the border with Grosse Pointe Park, authorities said.

What Was Seized And What It’s Worth
According to reporting by ClickOnDetroit, the inventory from the three homes was precise: 1,091.1 grams of cocaine and 685.5 grams of fentanyl, which works out to roughly 2.5 and 1.5 pounds, along with three firearms and $11,199 in cash. Part Of Continuing Enforcement In The City
The haul is the latest in a string of narcotics busts by Detroit police. Earlier this month, officers executed warrants on E. Jefferson and recovered more than 1,000 grams of cocaine along with additional fentanyl, as reported by FOX 2 Detroit. The potency of the drugs has been a recurring theme in local coverage, with CBS Detroit noting that even small quantities of fentanyl can translate into thousands of potentially lethal doses.
Police have not released the name of the person arrested or additional case details. ClickOnDetroit reported that one person was taken into custody. Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact Detroit police; local reporting lists the department’s nonemergency number as 313-267-4600.
