Cookie lovers in the Heights just scored a serious upgrade. Tiny's Milk & Cookies is opening a new walk-up bakery window on Wednesday, taking over the bungalow at 3423 White Oak Drive and plugging straight into one of Houston's busiest neighborhood strips. Doors, or rather the window, opens at 7 a.m., bringing the brand's chocolate-chip cookies, house-made ice cream and espresso to White Oak's steady stream of foot traffic. Expect the familiar cookie-counter buzz, only with a bit more elbow room and extra bread-to-go options.
According to Tiny's Milk & Cookies, the Heights shop officially opens Wednesday at 7 a.m. at 3423 White Oak Drive. The location page also lays out hours and a preview menu that goes beyond cookies, with croissants, scones and a rotating lineup of ice cream flavors.
What to expect from the menu
The new window will serve Tiny's signature chocolate-chip cookie alongside pastries, house-made ice cream and fresh bread baked daily. The Heights outpost is upping the bread game, offering organic sourdough and baguettes every day rather than weekly. According to the Houston Chronicle, the counter will also feature two different house-roasted espressos each day and bring Tiny Boxwoods favorites like avocado toast to the walk-up format.
"We had been looking for the right spot in the Heights for a long time," said Baron Doke, Tiny Boxwoods chef and one of the concept's founders. The team also plans to weave its usual design and landscape details into the bungalow's buildout, per the Houston Chronicle. The choice of a White Oak bungalow links Tiny's to the neighborhood's run of window counters while giving the crew room to stretch into more parts of the day.
A roomier window and a small kitchen
Co-owner Gregg Thompson told What Now Houston that the Heights spot is "a little bit bigger than our other ones," which means space for a small kitchen that could support more sandwiches and lunch items depending on what the neighborhood wants. That extra square footage should let Tiny's experiment beyond the classic cookie window while keeping the quick grab-and-go setup that made it popular in the first place.
The Heights shop will be the fifth Tiny's Milk & Cookies location, expanding the brand's footprint across Houston and Austin as an offshoot of the Tiny Boxwoods family of restaurants. Community reporting traces the plan back to permit filings and owner confirmations last year, with a slow, deliberate rollout leading up to the White Oak opening, according to Community Impact.
Full hours and the new menu are posted on Tiny's Milk & Cookies, and owners say they are "always on the lookout" for more walkable neighborhood spaces even if they are not racing to become a big chain, per What Now Houston. If all goes according to plan, Heights residents can fold warm cookies and fresh bread into their morning and late-afternoon routines starting Wednesday.
