Café Patachou, the Indianapolis-born all-day breakfast and lunch cafe, is set to crack into Ohio this spring with a new spot at The District in Deerfield in Mason. The expansion brings the chain’s daytime-focused menu to Greater Cincinnati, promising creative breakfast plates alongside quick lunch options for shoppers, families and nearby office workers. It also adds another morning and midday choice to a retail strip that has been steadily filling out.
According to FOX19, the Mason restaurant is planned for the 5200 block of District Park Drive and will operate weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and weekends from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. FOX19 reports that this will be the chain’s first location in Ohio.
What To Expect
Menus at other Patachou locations feature dishes such as chilaquiles, croissant French toast and French omelettes, along with sandwiches, salads, bowls and soups, according to VisitLex. Coverage of the Lexington opening also notes that the brand pairs bakery items with a coffee program and daytime beverage offerings. Many locations pour beer, wine or brunch cocktails, which helps give the cafe a daytime, all-ages vibe.
Where It Fits
The District at Deerfield has been adding food tenants recently. For example, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams opened at 5200 District Park Drive last year, a sign that the complex is already drawing culinary brands to the corridor, according to WCPO. That kind of foot traffic and family-friendly draw is the same daytime audience Patachou’s menu appears built to serve.
