One two-story building in the 16-unit Oak Chase complex sustained heavy damage, and officials said 24 residents, including 19 adults and five children, were displaced by the fire. The American Red Cross provided temporary housing and support services while property management and city teams worked to place affected families, and officials noted that one unit was vacant when the blaze began. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, authorities told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
