A late-night dispute outside a northwest-side apartment complex left an 18-year-old man shot in the leg Monday, according to San Antonio police. Officers were called around 11:30 p.m. to the 5700 block of North Knoll near Babcock Road, outside the Saddle Ridge apartments. The teenager was taken to University Hospital in stable condition.
The gunfire followed an argument in the complex parking lot after the victim walked home from a nearby Valero, according to KENS5. Police told the station several other males were involved before one person pulled a gun. Investigators have not released a suspect description or said how the shooter got away, and officers remained at the scene into the night as they worked the case.
Police response and reporting tips
San Antonio police, fire crews and EMS responded to the call, and officers began canvassing the complex and surrounding streets for witnesses and surveillance footage. Investigators are hoping someone caught the confrontation or the shooter on camera.
