Downtown Clermont got a fresh jolt Wednesday when 7 Made, a new coffee and gathering spot from local entrepreneur Juliana Green, officially opened its doors at 685 7th Street. The grand opening came with a ribbon cutting that pulled in neighbors and South Lake Chamber of Commerce leaders, setting the tone for what Green hopes will be an everyday neighborhood hangout built on coffee, conversation, and community.
According to South Lake Tablet, the Chamber hosted a celebratory ribbon cutting to officially welcome 7 Made to the downtown core. The outlet notes that the café sits at 685 7th Street and that Green, who picked the name to play off a run of lucky sevens in her life, is already calling the opening "meant to be." Early visitors and organizers praised the cozy interior and Green’s plan to keep the shop open seven days a week.
From Nurse To Neighborhood Entrepreneur
Green’s route from cardiac nurse to small business owner is part of what locals say gives 7 Made its heart. In an interview with OrlandoVoyager, she recalled launching Teamont Boba in 2020, then rolling out Main Squeeze lemonade, Teamont Café at Lake Sumter State College, Everything Local Co., Teamont Boba Groveland, and The Wave. That run of projects helped her build a ready-made customer base and staff long before 7 Made’s first latte hit the counter.
What 7 Made Brings
South Lake Tablet describes 7 Made as something more than a quick caffeine stop, positioning it as a place where friends can linger, neighbors can catch up, and downtown regulars can drift in from morning pick-me-ups through slower afternoons. The opening also landed in the regional spotlight when Spot On Florida included the café in its Central Florida roundup, a small boost for a downtown that has been steadily adding independent shops and cafés to keep foot traffic alive.
At the ceremony, Green thanked her family and the wider community for backing yet another homegrown venture and reiterated that 7 Made will open daily to serve nearby residents and students. For now, the new café is betting on a simple formula for Clermont’s main street scene: a few more cups of caffeine and one more corner where people actually stop and talk.
