
The Concord community breathed a collective sigh of relief as the City of Concord, NC - Police Department announced via social media that 27-year-old Kristin Timon Lynch, who had been reported missing two days ago, was found safe, in an update they shared today, Facebook. Details on the circumstances of Lynch's discovery have not been disclosed by the police at this time.
Earlier, the police department had issued a public appeal for assistance in locating Lynch after his disappearance on Monday, having last been seen leaving his home at 150 Simpson Court in Concord at 7:35 p.m., since that time the police had been tirelessly searching for him, the local community had been on high alert and there was significant concern about his well-being because he is autistic and had been without his medication for approximately two weeks. Lynch had been described as a 6-foot-1-inch tall male, weighing around 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, notably wearing a Carolina blue hooded sweatshirt sporting a Tarheels logo, paired with black sweatpants, but notably no shoes when he went missing.
The Concord Police Department, at the launch of their initial search operations, had encouraged anyone with information on the whereabouts of Kristin Lynch to contact 911 or call them directly at 704-920-5000, it was this outreach that played an instrumental role in raising awareness across North Carolina, leading to multiple community members contributing to the search thus exemplifying the importance of community engagement in such critical situations.
