In Brooklyn, forecasts indicate similar cold conditions, with sunny skies and high temperatures around 29°F today. By evening, temperatures across all boroughs, including Queens, are expected to drop to the mid-teens, with a 70% chance of snow beginning after 1 a.m. Friday.
The Hazardous Weather Outlook is projected to extend to coastal waters, with gale watches in effect from Saturday morning through late night. Heavy freezing spray may impact ice-free waters during this period. In Staten Island, forecasts indicate northwest winds increasing to 29–34 mph, with gusts reaching up to 55 mph.
Preparations are underway across the city, including the Bronx, as forecasts indicate very low temperatures similar to those in other boroughs. Wind chill values are expected to reach 15 to 20 degrees below zero during late-night and early-morning hours on Sunday.
