
A late-night blaze in Seminole County has left nine people without a home, following a house fire on Long Pond Drive near Longwood. As reported by ClickOrlando, the Seminole County Fire Department responded to the emergency call close to the witching hour of Thursday, arriving around 11:27 p.m. to tackle the flames.
In their social media update, the department indicated that, the fire initially sparked on the back porch of the residence. Further information provided by WFTV detailed firefighters' efforts in confronting the fire, which they found fully engulfing the house upon arrival. Despite the dramatic scene, all nine residents were accounted for and unharmed, and no firefighters suffered injuries during the response.
The aftermath of the event was met with swift support from the American Red Cross of North and Central Florida, who stepped in to provide assistance to those affected. The cause of the fire remains shrouded in mystery as investigations continue to determine its origin.
