
New York City police are searching for a man accused of sexually abusing a woman last October while she rode a northbound Q77 MTA bus near 116th Avenue and Francis Lewis Boulevard in Queens. The attack allegedly occurred at about 7:40 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 31, 2025, according to authorities. The victim told investigators she was approached from behind and subjected to a lewd act while still on the bus.
A wanted notice went up on Friday, Feb. 20, 2026, as detectives asked the public for help identifying the suspect. Posted by NYPD Crime Stoppers on X, the alert notes that the individual remains unidentified and urges anyone with video or eyewitness information to come forward. The city's Crime Stoppers page states that rewards of up to $3,500 are available for tips that lead to an arrest or indictment.

Transit sexual assaults on local buses are not unheard of in the area. In April 2023, the NYPD released a photo after a suspect allegedly sexually assaulted an 11-year-old girl aboard a Q77 bus near Linden Boulevard and Francis Lewis Boulevard, according to FOX 5 New York. Detectives say the suspect in the current case remains at large and are asking anyone with information to contact them.
