
An early Saturday evening stop for gas turned into a carjacking on the 3200 block of Raleigh‑Millington Road, when two armed men ambushed a customer outside a BP station around 6 p.m., according to police. Investigators say the pair pointed a gun at the man and demanded his wallet, keys, and phone before climbing into his Honda Accord and driving away. The car was later recovered, and police say the victim was not injured.
Surveillance stills released to local news outlets show two men believed to be in their late teens to early 20s, as reported by WREG. One suspect is seen in a brown camo jacket, dark joggers, and black Crocs. The other is wearing a gray jacket, dark pants, a black ski mask, and white Air Force 1 sneakers. WREG attributed the images to the Memphis Police Department.
What Police Say
Memphis police told Action News 5 the gunmen approached the victim as he walked out of the convenience store and took his car at gunpoint. Officers told the station the Honda Accord was later found, and confirmed there were no injuries. Investigators say they are reviewing surveillance footage as part of an active investigation.
