A routine shopping trip at a Raleigh Walmart took a disturbing turn when a woman says she was sexually assaulted inside the store, then trailed through the aisles by the same man until she could flag down an employee. She later filed a police report and says officers reviewed surveillance video from inside the store.
According to FOX13 Memphis, the woman told the station the man “watched her and followed her every move” before she was able to get a Walmart worker’s attention. She told the outlet she hopes the suspect is caught and “gets help,” and urged anyone who experiences something similar to speak up and report it to police.
Similar Reports at Raleigh-Area Stores
The woman’s account is landing in a city already on edge about safety in big-box stores. Local reporting shows this is not the first alarming incident tied to a Raleigh Walmart. In September 2025, police arrested a man who allegedly recorded a woman inside a bathroom stall at the Walmart on New Bern Avenue. Those earlier incidents have heightened concern among shoppers and pushed authorities and advocates to stress quick reporting and careful evidence preservation. WRAL documented that arrest and the charges that followed.
