
Renton police spent part of Tuesday afternoon combing through an apartment complex after a reported domestic violence incident involving a weapon. Officers set up a perimeter near 120th Lane SE and SE 171st Lane and urged neighbors to steer clear while they focused on a unit where the suspect was believed to be contained.

According to KIRO 7, the Renton Police Department posted on social media that officers were “searching for an assault suspect who is believed to be contained in a unit” and asked people to “please avoid the area.” KIRO reported it had a crew on the way to the scene and described the police response as active. Officials did not immediately share additional details.
