The Scooter’s Coffee sign is gone at a busy Bergheim corner, and in its place Pit Stop Cafe quietly opened for business on Feb. 23. The new name brings a bigger food lineup to the former drive-thru spot just outside Boerne, while many of the same faces are still behind the counter. Regulars should find their usual espresso drinks alongside expanded breakfast and lunch options.
New Name, Same Team
Pit Stop Cafe opened at 1 S. FM 3351, Ste. 150, according to store management, and staff told Community Impact that the shop kept the same ownership and employee base from the Scooter’s Coffee that operated there previously. The business is no longer associated with Scooter’s Coffee branding, the outlet reported.
Menu: Espresso, Dirty Sodas and More
Pit Stop’s online ordering page lists a full espresso lineup, including hot and iced lattes, cold brew and blended drinks, along with dirty sodas and Red Bull beverages. The menu on Toast also shows an expanded food offering that features bacon-egg-and-cheese sandwiches, kolaches, soups, wraps and grab-and-go items for both breakfast and lunch.
Is Scooter’s Coffee Really Gone?
The Scooter’s Coffee name has been removed from the Bergheim storefront, but the brand may still land in the Boerne area at a different address. Community Impact previously reported that a separate Scooter’s Coffee drive-thru, to be owned by Shaughnessy and Andrew Davis, received a special-use permit first reading for a site off I-10 near Cascade Caverns Road, and Boerne City Council meeting records back up that permitting action in this Boerne City Council video.
How This Fits Locally
For Boerne and Bergheim residents, the switch keeps a convenient coffee option at a high-traffic corner while nudging the spot toward fuller daytime service. The change comes amid a wave of new and expanding cafés in the Hill Country, from nearby local options like The Cup at Bergheim to other planned openings reported in the area by MySA.
Customers can place orders through the cafe’s page on Toast and should expect a mix of grab-and-go service with expanded food choices. Plans and timing for the separate Scooter’s Coffee drive-thru on I-10 remain tentative, so drivers who prefer the Scooter’s brand may want to keep an eye on permit filings and city council updates for a formal timeline.
