For those with a knack for mechanics and outdoor exploration, the "Ready to Ride this Spring" event will kick off on March 7 and April 18 at 2100 Old North Carolina 98 HWY, Wake Forest, NC 27587. The cost varies from $12 to $41, and it's targeted at individuals aged 14 and above, looking to get their bicycles in tip-top shape for the season's rides.
Do fairies and folklore tickle your fancy? Dressed as fairies, people will be congregating on March 21 for the "Away with the Fairies" event at 1 Mimosa St., Raleigh, NC 27604, inviting participants of all ages. In a delightful mishap of a schedule, the event is free, providing a platform for those young at heart to unleash their inner mythical creature from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. And for the youngest residents, "Meet the Bunny at Abbotts Creek" invites children aged 0-6 for an art program on March 24 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at 9950 Durant Road, gracing them with festive activities without the burden of cost.
As the moon ascends, teens will have their turn to chase luminescence in the "Egg-citing Teen Glow Egg Hunt" on March 26. Here, teens aged 12 to 17 can search for glowing eggs from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at 516 Dennis Ave.—all for the unbeatable price of free. Coming to "hunt" for a good time, the eggs won't hide for long during the Mordecai Egg Hunt, where people can converge on March 28 between 10 a.m. and noon. With doors wide open to everyone at the same address where the fairies previously frolicked, 1 Mimosa St., it promises a morning of thrills with no admission fee. Another event hopping on the same day is "Egg-splorers," an egg hunt tailored to kids aged 0 to 12 at 2405 Wade Ave., also from 10 a.m. to noon and also free. For the green thumbs and heirloom enthusiasts, the Annual Heirloom Plant Sale will blossom on April 24 and 25, offering a colorful array of plants at 1 Mimosa St., Raleigh, NC 27604, with prices ranging from $3 to $5 per plant.
Rounding out the month, "Garden Play" beckons the youngest botanists ages 3 to 6 on April 29.
