The St. Bernard Parish Sheriff's Office has recently reported the arrests of two individuals, Steve Minyard and Casey Landry, in connection to an incident of aggravated burglary. The crime took place at a residence in St. Bernard, as detailed in a social media post from the Sheriff's Office.

According to the victim's report on the January 10 event, two individuals known to him had forcibly entered his home in the 2000 block of Nehlig Lane, assaulted him, and stole cash alongside prescription medication. The St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office identified Minyard, 38, and Landry, 27, both residents of the 2300 block of Guillot Drive, as the suspects involved in this burglary, and arrest warrants were subsequently issued. Sheriff James Pohlmann described the altercation as "an isolated incident between acquaintances."

Minyard has been charged with aggravated burglary and possession of heroin and fentanyl, while Landry faces a charge of aggravated burglary alone. During the arrest of Minyard and Landry on January 29, Charles Johnson, 34, also residing at the Guillot Drive address, was taken into custody and booked with possession of marijuana.

The St. Bernard Parish Sheriff's Office is urging anyone with information about the aggravated burglary to come forward. Calls can be made to the Sheriff's Office, the Criminal Investigations Bureau's tip hotline, or Crimestoppers GNO, with the potential for anonymity and a possible cash award through Crimestoppers for helpful information. The numbers for these lines are provided in the Sheriff's Office release.
