
A northbound J train ride in Cypress Hills became tense when a woman allegedly brandished a razor and threatened another passenger near the Cleveland Street station, police reported. The 57-year-old victim was not injured, and the suspect left the train before officers arrived. Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
According to News 12 Brooklyn, the NYPD says the encounter began as an argument on the northbound train near the Cleveland Street stop. The woman then allegedly produced a razor and made verbal threats before running off the train. The outlet reports that police have not said whether any evidence was recovered or whether charges have been filed.
Where It Happened
The Cleveland Street station is listed by the MTA as an elevated J-line stop at Fulton Street and Cleveland Street in Cypress Hills, between Norwood Avenue and Van Siclen Avenue. The MTA shows the stop is served by J trains at all times.

Police have released only limited details about the suspect and are asking anyone who witnessed the confrontation or who has video of it to contact detectives. News 12 Brooklyn reports that officers are urging the public to step up with information.
