Saturday morning in Tampa starts off clear and cool, with temperatures sitting near 55°F at Tampa International Airport, but the sunshine will do its thing and send afternoon highs into the upper 70s to around 81°F. Expect mostly sunny skies and a light east breeze that keeps the day comfortable for errands, beach time and just about any outdoor plan you have lined up.
Afternoon Warmth
Through the afternoon, skies should stay mostly sunny with highs around 80–81°F and gentle east winds near 5–6 mph. Humidity will be moderate, so it will feel warm but not muggy, making it a solid day for parks, patios or a late-day walk along the bay before things turn more active later in the weekend.
Fog Could Return Overnight
Patchy fog is likely to redevelop after midnight, and a thicker band of sea fog could form over the northern and central coastal waters Saturday night, February 14, 2026, as warm, moist air slides over cooler shelf waters. We covered the earlier morning fog blanket, and drivers and boaters should be ready for reduced visibility again overnight.
Sunday Night Storm Risk
A strong disturbance and an approaching cold front are expected to shove a line of showers and thunderstorms across the area late Sunday into Sunday night, February 15, 2026. Some of those storms could produce damaging wind gusts, especially north of Tampa. Forecasters at the National Weather Service Tampa Bay highlight a slight risk for severe thunderstorms in northern portions of the area and caution that hazardous marine conditions are possible, along with minor coastal flooding north of Hernando Beach that could push water levels to about two feet above the usual high-water mark around high tide Sunday night.
What To Do
If you have Sunday night plans, it is worth scouting out nearby sturdy shelter and keeping a close eye on radar for fast-moving downpours and gusty winds. Boaters should consider delaying nonessential trips and make sure loose items are secured onshore, while drivers should slow down for standing water and give themselves extra time to get where they are going.
