The Woodlands is about to get a serious sugar rush. MilkShake Factory is slated to roll into town in late March, bringing hand-spun milkshakes and small-batch chocolates to a new shop along Research Forest Drive. Franchisees say the counter-service spot will lean hard into specialty shakes, nondairy options and giftable chocolate boxes.
According to Community Impact, franchise owner Kent J. Schultz pegged the opening to late March and laid out a menu built around the chain’s signature shakes plus an array of chocolates and other sweets.
Where It Will Land And What The Build-Out Looks Like
The company lists the future shop at 4747 Research Forest Drive, Suite 195, and labels the site “Coming Soon” on its official location page, according to MilkShake Factory.
State filings from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation describe the space as a roughly 1,493-square-foot tenant improvement with new partitions, millwork and lighting, setting the stage for a fairly full interior build-out rather than a light refresh.
Part Of A Bigger Texas Play
The Woodlands location is one piece of MilkShake Factory’s broader Texas expansion as the brand grows beyond its Pittsburgh home base. The Houston Chronicle reported that MilkShake Factory has inked multiple franchise agreements across the state and highlighted the Schultz family among the partners spearheading the Houston-area rollout.
Exact opening-day hours are still under wraps. The Woodlands location page lists a phone number and asks potential customers to check back for finalized details, according to MilkShake Factory. Once the franchise locks in the late March timeline, local coverage and permit records are expected to reflect the firmed-up opening date.
