A 15-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after gunfire broke out in the parking lot of a convenience store near Chesterdale Road, rattling the normally routine after-school hour. Police say his injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
The shooting happened shortly after 3 p.m., and officers quickly moved in, detaining several people at the scene for questioning. Part of the parking lot was taped off as investigators walked the pavement, photographing shell casings and talking with stunned witnesses.
The Sharonville Police Department told WLWT the shooting occurred around 3:04 p.m. in the parking lot of the King Quick Food Mart on Chesterdale Road. According to WLWT, a white Ford Fusion was seen leaving the area, and the people inside that vehicle were later detained for questioning. Springdale police also responded to assist at the scene, the outlet reported.
