Wagoner County, Okla. — Deputies with the Wagoner County Sheriff’s Office say a search warrant in the Toppers area earlier this month turned up a trove of stolen property, illegal drugs and a firearm. Two residents were taken into custody without incident, and investigators report that many of the seized items have already been linked to burglary victims. The sheriff’s office says the investigation is still active as detectives work to trace remaining property and chase down new leads.

According to KTUL, the Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team, along with deputies and investigators, served the warrant yesterday at a home in the 31900 block of East 724 Road. Deputies say they recovered about six grams of methamphetamine, roughly ten grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a firearm, and that narcotics sitting in plain view prompted a follow-up search that broadened the haul.

Enforcement Follows String Of Local Warrants

The raid is the latest in a run of enforcement actions by Wagoner County investigators aimed at drug distribution and property crimes in rural parts of the county. Local reporting shows deputies have been rolling out similar search-warrant operations in recent months that turned up meth, firearms and stolen vehicles. One earlier sweep, detailed by KRMG, netted significant quantities of meth along with multiple guns.

Recovered Items Tied To Burglaries, Investigators Say

Investigators told KTUL the case traces back to a July 2025 theft in the Toppers area, when a fed-up victim, after a string of break-ins, hid a tracking device in a decoy tool. That tactic, along with a December search at another address, led deputies to storage totes tucked under a carport that were packed with power tools, jewelry, debit cards, prescription medications and pill bottles labeled with multiple names. Much of that property has since been identified and returned to its owners.

Two Wagoner residents arrested in the yesterday operation were identified by investigators as Brandie Haun and Troy Poindexter. Haun faces drug charges and counts related to concealing stolen property. Poindexter faces drug-related charges and, among others, a count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Investigation Remains Active, How To Help

The investigation is ongoing, and deputies say more arrests could follow as they continue matching recovered property to victims and tracking additional suspects.
