Scene and police response
Montgomery County Department of Police 1st District officers and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue personnel were called to the 10800 block of Potomac Tennis Lane around 7:34 a.m. for a reported medical emergency. Major Crimes Division leads probe
Evidence found at the scene prompted detectives to turn the case over to the Montgomery County Major Crimes Division, which is now leading the homicide investigation. Facility response
Cogir of Potomac said in a statement that the community is “deeply saddened” by the resident’s death and that staff members are cooperating fully with investigators, according to WMAR-2 News. The facility’s corporate site lists its address as 10800 Potomac Tennis Lane in Potomac, and company officials said resident safety remains a top priority while the investigation continues.
What comes next
So far, police have not announced any arrests or filed charges as detectives keep processing the scene and gathering evidence. Investigators say they will release the victim’s identity and more information after notifying next of kin.
