Bellevue-based beverage wholesaler The Odom Corporation is staking a bigger claim in Sumner, expanding at Tarragon's SeaPORT Logistics Center to around 325,000 square feet. The move folds two separate Tacoma/Kent Valley facilities into one modern distribution hub and gives Odom more room to move product across the Pacific Northwest, Alaska and Hawaii, signaling that Sumner's industrial strip is still a hot ticket for logistics players even as new space keeps coming online.

As reported by the Puget Sound Business Journal, Odom now controls roughly 325,000 square feet at the SeaPORT park after taking additional space in Building 6. The outlet notes that the expansion follows an earlier pre-lease and that CBRE brokered the deal on behalf of both Odom and the landlord.

Inside Building 6

Building 6 at SeaPORT is a Class A warehouse of about 325,000 square feet, with 40-foot clear heights, a reinforced slab and dozens of loading doors, according to developer Tarragon. Project contractor Sierra Construction pegs the building at about 324,843 square feet and notes that construction hit key milestones last year, setting the stage for near-term occupancy.

Why Sumner Keeps Landing Big Tenants

The SeaPORT Logistics Center is a multi-building project slated to top more than 2.6 million square feet at buildout, and Odom's pre-commitment in Building 6 is one more sign that tenants are still chasing modern logistics space in Pierce County. Market data from Colliers shows Building 6 was more than three-quarters leased in early 2026, underscoring demand for high-spec product even as the region works through a wave of new deliveries.

Why Odom Chose This Spot

In a company release, Tarragon President Dennis Rattie said, "Their long-standing presence in the region and continued growth makes them a great fit for SeaPORT," praising Odom's decision to scale up at the park. The deal, negotiated by CBRE brokers, will consolidate Odom's local operations and give the distributor a single hub for moving beer, cider and craft liquors across the Pacific Northwest, Alaska and Hawaii, according to Tarragon.

Construction records and contractor pages indicate the building hit major milestones late last year and was slated for completion in early 2026, which positions Odom's consolidation to be fully under way within months. For Sumner, the move adds another data point to its trajectory as a growing logistics hub for the wider Puget Sound region.
