
WABC's "In the Fast Lane" is roaring onto Channel 7 on Saturday, April 4 at 7 p.m., giving viewers a curbside-to-curtain preview of the New York International Auto Show before the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center opens to the public. The one-hour special teases a blend of test drives, family-ready EV action and a Hollywood tie-in that will be among the big draws when the Auto Show runs April 3–12.
According to WABC-TV/ABC7 New York, the special is hosted by Eyewitness News meteorologists Lee Goldberg and Brittany Bell alongside sports anchor Ryan Field, and will re-air Sunday, April 5 at 4:00 a.m. Viewers can expect test drives in the Bentley Continental GT Speed and the all-new 2027 Kia Telluride, plus what the station teases as "a once-in-a-lifetime spin in a million-dollar car."
What To Expect On The Javits Floor
The New York International Auto Show runs April 3–12, 2026 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, and organizers have beefed up the EV & Hybrid Test Track on Level 1 to showcase dozens of battery-powered models. Drift Culture And A Movie Premiere
Filmmaker and car enthusiast Sung Kang, best known as Han in the Fast & Furious franchise, will roll in with a sneak peek of his drifting drama DRIFTER, with actual cars from the film on display and daily Q&As, according to the film's official site. The R2XPO aftermarket showcase inside the Auto Show will host Kang's appearances and related programming, tying the film's spotlight directly to the custom-car crowd. Family Rides And Off-Road Thrills
Out front, Camp Jeep is setting up a full-scale off-road course anchored by a 28-foot "Jeep Mountain" that sends riders up steep climbs and tilted descents under guided supervision.
