As reported by WSOC-TV, officers responded to reports of gunfire shortly after 1:25 p.m. One victim was taken by Cabarrus County EMS to a local hospital for treatment. Police confirmed they have a suspect in custody but have not released details on the person detained, the victim’s condition, or what may have led up to the shooting, noting only that the case is still under active investigation.

The Crowell Drive shooting lands on top of a rough stretch for Concord. On Feb. 1, a quadruple shooting left two people dead and two others injured, with multiple arrests that followed, according to WBTV.
