Emmer & Rye Hospitality Group has taken over the space, retooled it, and relaunched it as Lefty's Day & Night, an all-day operation that starts with coffee and handhelds and rolls straight into cocktails and late-night bites. The refreshed bar tightens Emmer & Rye's presence on East Sixth Street and gives the boutique hotel a more intentional neighborhood spot for both locals and guests.
As reported by CultureMap Austin, the group has redesigned the beverage program, added a full food menu, and unveiled the new name via press release. That release describes the concept as leaning into "sports bar culture, wellness programming, and a beverage-forward experience, anchored by a strong culinary program." According to CultureMap, the revamp is meant to feel just as inviting for hotel guests as it is for East Side regulars.
All-day menus, from caffeine to cocktails
Lefty's Day & Night sticks to its name by splitting the experience across the clock. Mornings skew toward coffee, boosted by house-made syrups, while later hours emphasize lighter, "crushable" cocktails and shareable plates. Menu items listed online span both ends of the spectrum, from a Buttered Rice Latte and Lychee Lemonade to handhelds like a Hot Ham Bodega Sammie, burritos, and a double smashburger.
