
A 9-year-old girl was wounded early Monday when gunfire tore into a home on Glenroy Drive in the Richwood neighborhood of North Memphis, according to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies say the child was taken to a nearby hospital in non-critical condition after an unidentified shooter fired multiple rounds into the residence. No arrests have been reported.
According to Action News 5, deputies responded around 1:25 a.m. to the Glenroy Drive address in the Richwood area and learned that an unknown suspect had opened fire on the home, striking the girl. Shelby County Fire transported her to a nearby hospital, where officials described her condition as non-critical, the outlet reported.
