
A 16-year-old boy is fighting for his life after he was found late Friday inside a Hebron home with a gunshot wound to the head and rushed to Mount Carmel East in critical condition. Licking County deputies and Hebron Police Department officers responded to the scene, and investigators say a family member has been arrested and charged as the case remains under investigation.
According to the Licking County Sheriff's Office, as reported by WBNS, deputies and Hebron police were called to the 100 block of Wooster Street around 11:30 p.m. They found the teen inside a bedroom with a gunshot wound to the head, and he was transported to Mount Carmel East hospital in Columbus, where he was listed in critical condition.
Brother arrested and charged
Authorities arrested 19-year-old Aiden Boone, identified by investigators as the victim's brother, and charged him with felonious assault, according to Yahoo. Boone is being held at the Licking County Justice Center. Investigators have not released a possible motive and say the investigation is ongoing.
