After a six-year break, the Garden View Lounge, the afternoon tea room at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, is finally making its return on March 19 with a full Alice in Wonderland-inspired tea service. The refreshed experience pairs Twinings loose-leaf teas with a three-tier tower of sweet and savory bites, plus a dedicated children's tea aimed squarely at families. When reservations opened earlier this month, fans rushed to grab seats.

According to Walt Disney World, the Garden View Lounge - Tea Experience features a curated lineup of Twinings teas, along with plant-based and allergy-friendly options. Pricing is listed at $79 per adult and $49 per child, with full payment required at the time of booking. The official menu highlights blends such as Orangery of Lady Grey and Nutty Chocolate Flavoured Assam and includes tea-based cocktails as well as non-alcoholic specialty teas.

Menu highlights

Savory bites on the tower include a Curried Chicken Salad Playing Card Tart and the Footman’s Feast Wonderland Salmon Crisp. On the sweet side, desserts range from the Matcha Mad Hatter sponge cake to Flamingo Croquet Choux, capped off with the Painting the Rose Earl Grey-infused teacake, which is painted tableside. Disney Food Blog got an early look at the spread and points out dedicated children's selections, along with optional upgrades like a seasonal cheese board or Royal Ossetra caviar.

Design and family focus

The reimagined tea leans into garden themes and storybook touches. As reported by the Orlando Sentinel, the room features ornate floral patterns, vine motifs, and stained-glass panels showcasing Florida-native birds. Chef Michelle Schutte told the Sentinel that Alice in Wonderland characters and colors guided the menu, while Amber Trafford said seasonal Florida fruit, including a Florida orange jam, will stay on the menu throughout the year.

Reservations and demand

Bookings that opened in mid-February disappeared quickly. WDWMagic reports that the initial reservation window sold out in under an hour. Guests still hoping to score a table are advised to keep an eye on the My Disney Experience app and Disney's dining pages for last-minute cancellations or newly released dates.

Practical details

The experience has a dress code and a 24-hour cancellation policy. Per Disney's guest information, reservations require full payment, including tax and gratuity. The Garden View Lounge is located inside Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. For reservations and the full menu, see Walt Disney World.
