Park Cities is about to meet a very big, very Canadian new neighbor. CRAFT Restaurant & Beer Market, a two-story, beer-forward restaurant, is set to open its U.S. flagship next Wednesday, bringing a sprawling Preston Center outpost that clocks in at roughly 15,750 square feet. The build includes a 10,500-square-foot main floor and a 5,250-square-foot rooftop outfitted with games and a converted Airstream. Management is promising more than 100 taps, with roughly half of them pouring local Texas brews, plus a menu built around pizzas, oversized burgers and shareable plates like a $25 nacho barrel. On the local side, the project is backed by Dallas Stars owner Tom Gaglardi as part of the partnership that brought the Canadian chain to the United States.
CRAFT lists its Preston Center address as 5974 W. Northwest Highway and bills the Dallas site as its U.S. flagship after what it describes as a multi-year search for the right piece of real estate. The company says the buildout features energy-efficient design touches, a massive 360-degree central bar and a rooftop patio meant for year-round use, with private-event setups for large groups. Those details, along with the location listing, appear on CRAFT Beer Market.
Big Space, Rooftop Games and Airstream Bar
A recent sneak peek puts the total footprint at about 15,750 square feet, split between a 10,500-square-foot main lounge and a 5,250-square-foot rooftop that comes with cornhole, bocce and that converted Airstream, as reported by Dallas Observer. Marketing director Riaz Khan told the outlet the concept is a very different restaurant for this neighborhood and noted that construction has been turning heads in the area for months.
The design centers on a wraparound 360-degree bar, with sightlines that make it clear this is meant to be a high-energy, social space rather than a quiet corner pub. There is also a private dining room that can hold up to 500 guests, positioning the venue squarely in the big-group and event-booking business.
Beers, Menu and Hours
CRAFT says the Dallas location will pour from more than 100 taps via its signature 360-degree bar and will offer weekend brunch along with extended late-night service on Fridays and Saturdays. The chain frames its food lineup around beer-friendly plates and shareable dishes and says it is partnering with Texas brewers to spotlight local beers on the tap wall. These hours, menu notes and booking details are listed on the Dallas location page on CRAFT Beer Market.
Local Partners, Stars and Charity
Local reporting notes that the U.S. rollout is a partnership between founder P.J. L'Heureux, president Scott Frank and Tom Gaglardi, whose Dallas ties helped steer site selection toward Preston Center, according to Dallas Observer. The outlet also reports that CRAFT will feature a Kingsville Brewery lager co-owned by former Stars goalie Marty Turco, with $1 from every CRAFT x Kingsville lager sold benefiting the Heaven's 27 Foundation.
L'Heureux told the Dallas Observer that the team "fell in love with the city" while mapping out the expansion, which helps explain why the brand chose to plant its U.S. flag in one of Dallas' most tightly watched neighborhoods.
Community Pop-Up and What Comes Next
As part of its pre-opening outreach, CRAFT staged a community pop-up in February and is listed as taking reservations and event bookings for groups of up to 500, per Visit Dallas. The big open question now is whether Park Cities residents, who are used to more low-key dining rooms, will lean into a loud, sports-forward beer hall on this scale. Next Wednesday is when Dallas finds out.
