
A late-night stabbing at Brownsville's Van Dyke Houses has left a 43-year-old man recovering in the hospital and police searching for the attacker who slipped away into the night.
Police say the victim was stabbed just before midnight inside the NYCHA complex along Sutter Avenue. He was hit in the shoulder, taken to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center, and is expected to be OK. The person who attacked him ran off before officers arrived.
According to News 12 New York, the suspect was last seen wearing a blue hoodie, blue jeans and gray sneakers. The station also reports the incident came on the heels of a separate stabbing on Dumont Avenue that left three people injured. Anyone with information is being urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
