Just before 1 a.m. Thursday, a 26-year-old man lying inside his tent on East Olive Street in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood suddenly felt the canvas rip and a knife slice into his leg. He told officers he never saw or heard anyone before the attack and said he was alone in the tent at the time.
Seattle police said his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening and that he is expected to recover. Medics rushed him to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.
Detectives are investigating and searching for whoever punctured the tent and carried out the stabbing, according to KIRO 7. No suspect description has been released, and police are asking anyone with information to contact investigators.
Police appeal for witnesses

Harborview treated the victim
The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center, the region's Level I trauma center that handles some of the most serious injuries in the area, per UW Medicine. Police told reporters the man is expected to be okay, according to KIRO 7.
Seattle police said the investigation is ongoing and again urged anyone with tips or video from the area to call (206) 233-5000 or submit information online so detectives can piece together what happened.
