Oakley just picked up a new stop for smoothie and açaí devotees, as Frutta Bowls, a New Jersey-born quick-service chain known for superfood bowls, quietly opened its first Cincinnati shop on Madison Road. The new storefront brings the brand's build-your-own bowls, smoothies and specialty toasts to the neighborhood, with dine-in, takeout, curbside and delivery all on the table for convenience-minded customers.
According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, the Oakley outpost sits at 3698 Madison Road and is the chain's first location inside Cincinnati city limits. The brand is not a stranger to the region, with existing stores already operating in Hamilton, Liberty Township, Mason and Miamisburg. The Oakley opening is folded into a broader push into Ohio markets by the franchise.
What To Order
Frutta Bowls builds its menu around customizable bowls, with bases that include açaí, pitaya, greens, oatmeal, coconut and Greek yogurt. Guests can also opt for signature smoothies, protein bites and specialty toasts for something a little more snackable. The company highlights rotating seasonal fruit blends and an app-based rewards program, and it works with third-party partners for delivery. As detailed by Frutta Bowls, the Oakley shop lists both dine-in and curbside among its ordering options.
Expansion Plans
Per a company release cited by the Cincinnati Enquirer, Frutta Bowls has grown to more than 40 locations across 16 states and says it plans to open at least 35 more in the coming years. Franchise executives are targeting suburban corridors such as Oakley and Liberty Township for smaller-footprint, fast-casual shops, a strategy that lines up neatly with a broader national appetite for grab-and-go healthy options in the lunch and afternoon dayparts.
Where It Fits In Oakley
Oakley has been on a bit of a quick-service streak lately, with national brands staking out storefronts alongside longstanding local operators. CAVA's planned Oakley debut underscores a trend of national chains moving into Madison Road retail nodes. At the same time, locally owned spots such as Rooted Juicery + Kitchen already cater to the neighborhood's health-forward crowd, setting up some friendly competition for a share of the açaí and smoothie demand.
The Oakley store's hours were not listed in storefront copy at press time, but Frutta Bowls' app and delivery pages are already offering ordering and rewards for early visitors. Fans of lighter, fruit-forward lunches can expect the new spot to slide into Oakley's midday rotation as the city's fast-casual landscape continues to reshape.
