The crew behind downtown hot spot Ritual House and Shadyside newcomer Palm Palm is leveling up. The partners have officially formed Legacy Hospitality Group, a company they say will roll out multiple new restaurant concepts across Pittsburgh’s urban core, with several openings targeted for 2026 and more already in the works for 2027. The push centers on the East End, the North Shore, and downtown, signaling a fresh wave of investment in some of the city’s busiest neighborhoods.

Who’s behind the group

Legacy Hospitality Group is led by Herky and Lisa Pollock, Chef Ed and Amanda Smith, and Matthew Minichino, according to local reporting. As reported by WPXI, the new company pulls the operators of Ritual House and Palm Palm under a single umbrella. The partners say they intend to run multiple brands under the Legacy banner rather than just replicating a single concept around town.

What they already operate

The group is not starting from scratch. Its portfolio already includes Ritual House in the Union Trust Building and Palm Palm in Shadyside. Visit Pittsburgh lists Ritual House in the historic downtown tower, while the Pittsburgh Business Times has previously previewed Palm Palm’s East End debut.

The partners also opened a downtown fast-casual spot called The Common Good and maintain ties to Shorty’s Pins & Pints. The Davis Companies and NextPittsburgh have both documented those projects.

Plans for more concepts

The newly formalized hospitality group has told reporters it plans to debut at least three new concepts in 2026, with additional projects queued up for 2027. Development is expected to zero in on the East End, the North Shore, and downtown, building on the team’s existing footprint in those areas.

"These companies that we're starting and forming all start with Legacy," Herky Pollock said, emphasizing the partners’ goal of creating brands they expect to stick around. WPXI reported Pollock’s comments along with the group’s target neighborhoods and timeline.

Real estate muscle in the mix

Herky Pollock also serves as president and CEO of Legacy Realty Partners, a Pittsburgh-based commercial real-estate firm. Legacy Realty Partners identifies Pollock in that leadership role and notes his decades of experience in the region’s retail real-estate market. That pairing of on-the-ground restaurant operations and in-house real-estate expertise could streamline site selection and leasing as the group looks at underused urban properties.

Legacy Hospitality Group has not yet named specific locations or detailed menus for its upcoming concepts. Expect a clearer picture to emerge as leases are signed, buildouts get underway, and the partners begin locking in opening dates. As filings and announcements surface, more information about where - and what - Pittsburgh’s next round of Legacy-backed restaurants will be should start to come into focus.
