Las Vegas is drawing a different kind of high roller this weekend as The Vegas Shoot, long nicknamed the "Super Bowl of archery," takes over the Strip for its 60th anniversary. The four-day tournament packs the resort corridor with high-pressure shootoffs, a sprawling trade floor and competitors flying in from across the globe.

By the numbers

Organizers expect more than 4,000 archers and roughly 6,000 spectators from about 70 countries and all 50 U.S. states, according to The Vegas Shoot. The National Field Archery Association's 2026 schedule also lists the tournament and notes more than $500,000 in guaranteed prize money and scholarships. Alongside the competition, the event runs an expo of roughly 100 booths where manufacturers and custom builders preview new gear.

Venue and finals

This year’s competition runs March 26–29 at Paris Las Vegas, with championship shootoffs set for the PH Live Theater at Planet Hollywood during the evening finals. "The PH Live Theater will allow us to have a separate venue for our world-famous Shootoff, and give us the opportunity to host finals like never before," Vegas Shoot president Bruce Cull said in a post on The Vegas Shoot.

Top shooters to watch

Reigning champion Bodie Turner, who took the title in 2025 after a marathon final, is back to defend in Las Vegas. On the women's side, the field includes multiple past winners, led by three-time Vegas champion Tanja Gellenthien. Both Turner’s win and Gellenthien’s run of titles were highlighted by World Archery and related coverage of the indoor season.

Expo floor and spectator experience

Fans can expect about 100 vendor booths and a range of brand activations on the trade floor, with the spectacle boosted by daily $10,000 shoot-offs and specialty contests, according to Network in Vegas. The result is part industry trade show, part spectator arena, with competition and side events running throughout the day.

What locals should know

Local crews are already on site, with KLAS reporter JC Fernandez filing live reports from Paris Las Vegas. The event footprint is expected to bump hotel occupancy along the Strip. For venue specifics, see Paris Las Vegas. If you are heading to the Strip this weekend, plan for heavier crowds and consider timing your arrival around the evening shootoffs.
