An Orange Mound block woke up shaken Monday after a black SUV rolled up in the night and someone inside opened fire on a home, leaving residents to find the bullet damage with the morning light, according to police.

Neighbors told officers they heard gunshots in the middle of the night, then went back to bed, only to discover the damage when they woke up. Investigators say no arrests have been announced, and officers have been canvassing the area for witnesses.

According to the Memphis Police Department, officers were called out around 8 a.m. Monday to the 1000 block of Bradley Street on an aggravated assault after residents reported that their home had been hit. Police say video shows a black SUV, possibly a Chevrolet Tahoe or GMC Yukon, stop in front of the house while the front-seat passenger fires several rounds. The vehicle then speeds north on Bradley toward Deadrick Avenue.

As reported by WREG, the victims told officers they first heard the shots around 1 a.m. and only realized their home had been struck when they checked the property later that morning. The station reports that police are reviewing the footage as part of an active investigation.
