Detroit's east side just picked up a new spot for quick shawarma runs. Blaze Shawarma opened yesterday at 13600 8 Mile Rd, Suite A, rolling out build-your-own shawarma bowls and wraps for drivers, shoppers and commuters along the 8 Mile corridor. The fast-casual kitchen is also slinging quesadillas, wings and ribs alongside its signature shawarma and sandwiches, positioning itself as a halal-friendly grab-and-go option.
As first noted by The Metro Detroit News, Blaze Shawarma is now taking orders online and in person from its East 8 Mile storefront.
Menu and prices to know
The online menu leans hard into customizable bowls and wraps, with single-protein bowls like Chicken and Beef‑Lamb listed at $14.99 and specialty two- or three-protein bowls around $17.99. Diners can also pick from a trio bowl, sliders, quesadillas, wings, ribs and a mix of sauces to tweak each order, according to the ordering page on Toast.
Hours and ordering
Blaze's posted hours are 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays. The restaurant notes it offers pickup and third-party delivery straight from the storefront. Halal preparations and a phone number for call-in pickup orders are highlighted on Blaze Shawarma.
Where it sits on 8 Mile
Blaze Shawarma is tucked into the Eastland Center strip at the corner of 8 Mile and Schoenherr, joining several quick-service and halal-friendly options in the neighborhood. That corner location makes it an easy add-on stop for people running errands along the busy corridor, per The Metro Detroit News.
Customers can order directly through Blaze Shawarma or through delivery partners listed on the menu page, including Uber Eats. For the full menu and online ordering details, check out Blaze's page on Toast.
