Ohio Valley Electrical Services, a growing employee-owned electrical contractor in the Cincinnati area, has snapped up roughly eight acres at the former Procter & Gamble Sharon Woods Innovation Center in Blue Ash and plans to move and expand its headquarters there. The relocation will roughly double the company’s headquarters footprint, comes with a multi-million-dollar investment tied to new jobs, and marks another step in the makeover of the 50-acre P&G campus that was cleared in 2023.
Deal details
As reported by Local 12, Ohio Valley Electrical Services Inc. bought nearly eight acres on the east side of Reed Hartman Highway for $3 million, closing the deal on March 27. The site makes up the southern portion of the former Sharon Woods Innovation Center, giving the company room to design a much larger headquarters campus than it has now.
Jobs and investment
According to JobsOhio, the project carries about $13 million in capital investment and includes commitments to create 40 full-time positions while retaining 52 existing jobs. “We are excited to continue our relationship with the City of Blue Ash,” said Scott Hughes, CEO of Ohio Valley Electrical, in the JobsOhio release.
Site history
The land sits on what used to be P&G’s Sharon Woods Innovation Center, where staged demolition and abatement wrapped up in 2023 to prepare the roughly 50-acre campus for new development. Contractors on the teardown reported extensive salvage and recycling of electrical equipment and other materials during the process.

Incentives and support
State and local officials are backing the move with incentives linked to job creation. Rep. Karen Brownlee announced that Ohio Valley Electrical Services was approved for a Job Creation Tax Credit by the Ohio Tax Credit Authority, a benefit tied to the company’s hiring commitments and increased payroll in Blue Ash.
Why it matters for Blue Ash
For Blue Ash, the deal signals that the former P&G campus is moving from demolition to fresh investment, bringing an expanding headquarters and manufacturing-related jobs into a suburban business hub. JobsOhio lists REDI Cincinnati and the City of Blue Ash as collaborators on the project, and officials say they hope Ohio Valley Electrical’s new headquarters will help anchor additional redevelopment along Reed Hartman Highway and across the Sharon Woods tract.
