Crooked River Wine and Cleveland Jam are rolling into Medina County with a combined tasting room, bistro, and production hub at 544 Pearl Road in Brunswick. The partners are transforming about 2,700 square feet of former office space into winemaking tanks, barrel storage, and a bottling room, all wrapped around a tasting bar and kitchen. Plans also call for an outdoor patio and a private room that can host roughly 40 people for special events and themed nights.

According to Cleveland.com, partners Jim Conti and Dennis Schultz bought the property and have already started renovations to carve out both production and hospitality areas. The buildout is designed so wine can be made and aged on site while guests sit at the tasting bar or settle in for table service. That level of production muscle is what sets the Brunswick spot apart from the smaller, tasting-room-only operations scattered around the region.

What the Brunswick Location Will Offer

The new address is already listed on Cleveland Jam, and the brand’s jobs page at Cleveland Jam shows they are hiring ahead of the grand reveal. On the drinks side, Crooked River plans to pour its wines alongside other alcoholic beverages and its own apple and pear ciders, all paired with bistro-style small plates coming out of a new kitchen. The partners are also lining up a run of special events, from trivia nights to murder-mystery dinners, to keep weekday business humming and weekend crowds coming back.

Local Partnerships and the Jam Connection

Cleveland Jam has already made a name for itself by teaming up with local brewers on beer-infused jars, including collaborations with Great Lakes Brewing Co..Those jars, built on beers like Dortmunder Gold and the seasonal Christmas Ale, show how regional makers cross-promote each other’s products on store shelves and in gift boxes. Shoppers can expect to see jars and other packaged goods sharing shelf space with bottles when the Brunswick shop opens its doors.

Crooked River already runs a weekend tasting room in North Royalton, and the partners say the Brunswick buildout will expand that footprint. The North Royalton public listing puts the business at 13200 York Delta Drive, according to MapQuest, where customers have been praising small tasting flights and jam pairings. Jim Conti and Dennis Schultz formed their partnership in 2020, and Conti told Cleveland.com that “jam pays the bills” while the winery continues to grow its lineup.

There is still no firm public opening date. Cleveland Jam lists the Brunswick location as “coming soon” and already has a reservations page set up for future bookings. In the meantime, the construction work should boost production capacity for Crooked River while giving Medina County a new tasting-room destination and a small-event venue. Watch for permit filings and public announcements as the project moves from renovation to soft opening and, eventually, a full debut.
