Afternoon tea just got a serious upgrade off Ashford Dunwoody. Le Faucheur Tearoom quietly opened this month, slipping a formal European-style tea service into the Perimeter corridor and giving Dunwoody a new spot for lingering afternoons, low-key celebrations and intimate private gatherings.
The boutique leans into a classic tea experience: premium loose-leaf brews, seasonal finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones and petite, handcrafted desserts, all served in a room that layers Victorian flourishes over a modern European backdrop. The setup is designed for guests to settle in, not rush out.
On April 3, 2026, Le Faucheur officially opened its doors near Ashford Dunwoody with a structured afternoon-tea service and multiple daily sittings. According to WhatNow, the spot brings a refined, European-inspired approach to afternoon tea to metro Atlanta. The tearoom’s website lays out the address along with its sit-down schedule from Tuesday through Sunday, per Le Faucheur Tearoom.
Le Faucheur is the latest project from hospitality entrepreneur Valerie Fatemi and her partner Kourosh, an outgrowth of Fatemi’s mobile tea business, The Cheeky TeaCup. That evolution from pop-up parties to a permanent brick-and-mortar is documented in local business profiles and listings. The Persian American Chamber of Commerce of the Southeast lists Fatemi among its event leaders, while a feature in Shoutout Atlanta traces her work building The Cheeky TeaCup into a full-service experience; see PACCSE and Shoutout Atlanta for additional background on the owners' hospitality work.
Menu and design
Le Faucheur’s menu sticks to the afternoon-tea greatest hits, but dresses them up. Seasonal finger sandwiches share tiered stands with warm scones served alongside clotted cream and jam, plus small desserts designed to play nicely with the selection of premium loose-leaf teas.
“Whether it’s your first afternoon tea or your hundredth, we want every guest to feel comfortable, cared for, and a little transported,” Fatemi said, according to WhatNow. The publication also notes that the interior blends Victorian details with modern European touches to create an intimate, boutique-style setting.
Reservations and private events
Le Faucheur operates on a reservations-driven model with multiple sittings each day, plus celebration packages and private-event options for small groups, according to the tearoom’s site. The website lists afternoon-tea sittings at approximately 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., and notes a 10% discount for active-duty military and veterans. Event and private-booking requests are handled through the online reservation system, per Le Faucheur Tearoom.
What it means for Dunwoody
Specialty tearooms are still a niche in metro Atlanta, but they are not unicorns. Le Faucheur joins a small, growing roster of afternoon-tea destinations across Georgia and adds one more boutique option to the already dense Perimeter retail landscape. A statewide directory highlights several tea venues across metro Atlanta and beyond, reflecting steady interest in destination-style tea experiences among local audiences, per Destination Tea.
With the new spot settling into regular service, reservations are recommended for weekend seatings. Walk-ins might be squeezed in between sittings, but the tearoom’s relatively small footprint tips the balance in favor of prebooked tables.
