How To Share Tips
If you have information, the Fort Worth Police Department contact page lists non-emergency numbers and media contacts, and detectives are asking people to send tips through those official channels. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Tarrant County Crime Stoppers at 817-469-TIPS, which investigators say can speed up the recovery of stolen property.
Why Quick Reporting Matters
Once stolen, firearms can change hands fast and later show up in crimes that seem completely unrelated to the original burglary, which complicates both investigations and public safety. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives maintains theft and loss reports and tracing tools that investigators use to follow recovered weapons back to their owners and crime scenes, so timely reporting can make a real difference.
Legal Note
Under Texas law, unlawfully entering a residence with the intent to commit a crime falls under Texas Penal Code §30.02 and can be charged as burglary of a habitation, which is a felony offense. Theft of firearms is handled as property theft and may carry enhanced penalties depending on the circumstances.
Detectives are asking anyone who saw suspicious activity near Oakleaf Drive around March 31, or who recognizes the person in the released images, to call burglary detectives at 817-392-4767 or submit an anonymous tip to Tarrant County Crime Stoppers at 817-469-TIPS. They say quick leads can be the difference between recovering stolen firearms and electronics or watching them disappear into the wind.
