Hagerstown is riding a serious wave of Lottery luck. A scratch-off ticket sold in the city has delivered a $500,000 payday, topping Maryland’s latest list of big wins and landing right in the middle of a run of six- and five-figure prizes across the state.

According to WCBM, Maryland Lottery and Gaming reported that its largest prize of the week was a $500,000 scratch-off sold in Hagerstown. The agency said it paid out more than $30.1 million in prizes from April 20–26, including 31 tickets worth $10,000 or more.

Lottery postings show Hagerstown also produced a $50,000 Bonus Match 5 ticket sold April 23 at Market Lot Liquors at 54 West Church Street, and the city has seen multiple large tickets in recent days. Winners are urged to sign the backs of winning tickets, keep them safe, and claim prizes over $25,000 at the Maryland Lottery Customer Resource Center in Baltimore by appointment, according to Maryland Lottery and Gaming.
Where the half-million ticket was sold
Local reporting pegs the half-million payout to a winning "Gifts of Green" scratch-off sold at AC&T, 301 North Burhams Boulevard in Hagerstown. That retailer and address are listed in a weekly roundup of Lottery winners published by Nottingham MD.
