Huey Magoo’s is bringing its fast-casual chicken tenders to the Suncoast Hotel & Casino in Summerlin this summer, sliding into the property’s ongoing makeover with a new spot built for quick, budget-conscious meals. The chain will serve its hand-breaded and grilled tenders from a compact dine-in and takeout setup on the northwest Las Vegas casino floor.
According to What Now Las Vegas, Huey Magoo’s president and CEO Andy Howard said via email that the Suncoast location at 9090 Alta Dr is expected to open in July or August. Howard told the outlet the menu "is very typical of any of our other 90 locations operating in 14 states," centered on tenders served hand-breaded or grilled. The Suncoast opening will be the chain’s second Las Vegas partnership with Boyd Gaming after a downtown debut in 2023.
What to expect from the menu
Huey Magoo’s builds its brand around handcrafted chicken tenders it promotes as "The Filet Mignon of Chicken," served with sides like crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast and house dipping sauces. The company’s website notes that president and CEO Andy Howard and COO Mike Sutter lead the concept, and that the executive team brings extensive franchise experience. Guests at the Suncoast can expect the same core menu items and rewards features offered at other Huey Magoo’s locations.
Boyd Gaming has been updating the Suncoast for more than a year, and the company’s March 2024 press release details a property-wide renovation that includes a new food-hall concept and a refreshed casino floor. As outlined by Boyd Gaming, the upgrades are aimed at retooling the resort for Summerlin residents and the broader Las Vegas valley market. That multi-phase work is opening space for new tenants like Huey Magoo’s to join the Suncoast’s updated dining lineup.
Chain growth and rollout plans
Howard told What Now Las Vegas that Huey Magoo’s operates roughly 90 locations across 14 states and expects to surpass 100 restaurants by Q4 2026, with another 220 franchises sold and planned to open in the coming years. That growth pipeline helps keep Huey Magoo’s among the faster-growing chicken concepts in the region. The Suncoast agreement reflects the chain’s strategy of pairing franchise expansion with placements in casino food halls and hotel concessions.
A fit for Summerlin
Suncoast’s modernization, which includes a revamped sportsbook, a new high-limit room and additional restaurant offerings, is intended to help the property compete with other locals-focused resorts in northwest Las Vegas. As reported by FOX5 Las Vegas, the upgrades are rolling out in phases, and a food hall is specifically part of the plan. Bringing in a national quick-service chain adds another low-cost dining option for nearby residents who frequent the resort.
If the July or August target holds, Huey Magoo’s at Suncoast will join other fast-casual openings in Las Vegas this year. Local diners can watch for an official opening announcement from Huey Magoo’s and Boyd Gaming as the renovation moves forward.
