Hearth & Vine, a new restaurant from the Apicii restaurant group, is set to flip on the lights Thursday, April 2, 2026, inside the historic Henry Weinhard Brewery building in Portland's Pearl District. The full-scale restaurant, bar and event venue is taking over the former Henry's Tavern spot in the Brewery Blocks.

As reported by the Portland Business Journal, Hearth & Vine will occupy roughly 12,000 square feet and plans to open on April 2 in the same Brewery Blocks unit that once housed Henry's Tavern.

Where the New Restaurant Will Be

According to City of Portland liquor filings, a license application for Hearth & Vine lists the trade name at 10 NW 12th Ave and shows seating for 121 guests inside plus 78 outdoor seats. The filing, accepted in September 2025, appears under 12th Ave F&B Management LLC, which lists a New York mailing address.

What the Menu and Bar Look Like

Per a job listing on Hearth & Vine, the restaurant describes itself as New American and highlights Pacific Northwest producers, backed by a sizable wine and beer program. The listing touts 50 wines by the glass, including 20 available on tap, plus a curated lineup of regional draft beers and seasonal, technique-driven plates. That is a lot of wine by the glass, even by Pearl District standards.

History of the Space

The Henry Weinhard brewery complex was converted years ago into what is now known as the Brewery Blocks, and Henry's Tavern operated there as a long-running tenant until it closed in 2019. Local reporting and permit documents show the new tenant moved through renovation plans last year to prep the space for this spring's opening, as Bridgetown Bites reported.

Why It Matters for the Pearl District

Hearth & Vine's arrival restores a large street-level dining anchor to the Brewery Blocks and is expected to create dozens of service jobs. The operator has held public hiring events in recent weeks to staff up for opening day. For neighborhood residents and nearby office workers, the long-empty anchor is giving way to a full-service restaurant that leans hard on Pacific Northwest wine and beer to help pull more foot traffic back into the block.
